Bang in the the middle of two long liasons, this 19km romp on the dirt tracks and small dunes will give the entrants the chance to test their vehicles and, even more inportantly, will seperate the wheat from the chaff to detemine the starting order for the next stage. The results of the special will also rise to a peculiar ceremony at the briefing in whcich the Top 15 Competitors in each catogory will get to choose, in reverse order in the standings, their starting position for special 1B.. Expect to see some bluffing..
Note: Competitors allowed to leave Bivouac at Stadion from 1400 SAST to DSS for Stage 1A at their discretion and stay close to DSS, No ORGA Services except Security at DSS Staging area..
